We have always practiced deep cleaning of rooms DAILY in Riad el Zohar. Not just on guest changeover days. We were always aware that we were in a hot North African climate and that stomach infections are more frequent than Europe for example. Therefore room and bathroom floors were washed daily plus using anti-bacterial, anti-viral wipes all switches and handles were disinfected. Flat surfaces and toilets in bathrooms were cleansed with chlorine-based bleach. All switches, handles and banister rails in the Riad, courtyard, balcony, saloons, terraces and external front door were disinfected. All Riad floors, stairs and corridors were washed daily.
Now with the advent of Covid 19 virus pandemic we have supplemented these very thorough cleaning regimes with bleaches as opposed to the previously used proprietary cleaning solutions on all floors and flat surfaces. The parts of doors that are likely to be handled, over and above the correct handles, are being cleaned daily with disinfectant wipes.
We have always provided anti-bacterial hand wash in our bathrooms alongside proprietary shampoos and bodywashes. We also provide Surgical Hand Gel in each Bedroom and entrance Hall plus Face Masks for each guest.
Our plunge pool is maintained to swimming pool standards and continuously filtered, disinfected and cleaned. Swimming pool towels are provided and washed overnight and replaced in the pool area.
Our Kitchen practices and hygiene have always been exemplary and on any Health and Safety inspection have passed with flying colours.
