At Riad el Zohar we have a team of highly skilled cooks who offer up a delectable menu of authentic Moroccan cuisine. We usually serve dinners in the courtyard on a beautiful handcrafted table constructed from an attractive antique Moroccan door. However, if you are looking for more privacy or it’s one of those occasional days with inclement weather, the dinners can also be served in one of the two saloons.
If you’re looking for a special experience we recommend a candlelit dinner out on the terrace. On warm evenings you can enjoy beautiful views across the city. This is an unforgettable romantic experience. If you prefer you can always retire with a mint tea to the terrace in the evenings. The weather is usually perfect for this for around nine months of the year.
Our cooks buy fresh produce from the market every morning for the day ahead, so you can be sure that you are only getting the finest and freshest ingredients in your food. For this reason, if you wish to dine with us you will need to order the meals before 10:00am. You can choose from the menu or ask for us to create a traditional Moroccan meal, we can prepare most dishes off menu – we will take into account your dining preferences, allergies and dislikes.
Many guests choose to have dinner on their first evening at Riad el Zohar, to enjoy a delicious cooked meal without having to go out and find a restaurant – ideal after a day of travelling. Others prefer to dine with us on the evening before the trip home. We are happy to cook on any day, all you have to do is let us know in advance.
